very interesting use of materials. I have never thought about using black or white colored pencils, much less a sharpie on portraits. Sharpies certainly do produce a good black :D

Photoshop adjusting made it darker, too. When I do non-digital work, I like to work in markers with coloured pencils when doing colour -- markers to block in big areas, and pencils for the smaller details ...
