Artist's Comments

This is Mick St John, a vampire detective from the show Moonlight. Screencaps from the episode "Out of the Past" used for reference.

Weakened from silver bullet wounds, Mick is drinking from a bag of blood when Beth (the woman he's watched over secretly ever since he'd saved her life when she was a child, and with whom he had recently formed a friendship) shows up at his place. Literally caught red-handed, he reluctantly tells her that he's a vampire.

Acrylic on canvasboard. It's been a while since I've done a painting, so I wanted to stretch my painting chops a bit. I've wanted to paint this scene since the ep aired, back in October! I'm not happy with that hand, and wish it were all positioned a tad lower and a little more to the left. I'm also not quite happy with his skin tones. On the other hand, I'm happy with his teeth and most of his hair. :)

I LOVE MOONLIGHT!!!! i live in australia and it only just started airing here but he is soooooo cute!!!!

oh by the way the gurl mick saved beth from was his wife, she turned him on their wedding night, then he killed her when he saved young beth.
he is soooo cute

Yeah, He is. I knew about Coraline being his wife already, and about Oloughlin being Australian, but thanks. :) Did *you* know he's in the movie August Rush? It's just a smallish part, but it's still nice to see him in it. :)

The last episode before the hiatus airs tonight -- I can't wait! It focuses on Josef -- I like him, too!

josef is gorgeous!!! my mate and myself have this thing where we say that she gets josef and micks appartment and i get mick and josefs house its so awesome!!!.
im going to look for that movie now!!!! im watching all the eps on youtube before they come out on the tele cuz i dont really have much time to weatch tele at home so i watch it on my laptop when i get home from work and when im in bed.
question... im guessing youre american??? are you guys still on season 1 or are there more than 1 seasons?

Yes, I'm American. :) The show's still in it's first season. Thanks for the fave, btw! :)

August Rush was only released a few weeks ago in the theatres in the US -- I dunno if it's in Oz yet.

nah if its only just been released in the US it'll take like a month for it to be released in OZ.

Also live In australia and it started airing last week. We're up to the episode with Jay-lee I think his name was. Its the only series at the moment I am enjoying.

Gr8 pic. I Love Moonlight. I live in Australie so it only came out last week, but when I saw it, I thought "Finally, something good on tv." I love the guy who plays Mick (Alex O'Loughlin), he's really hot. Love da show, love da show, gr8 work. :-)
